Pat Johnson The Compton Drug Kingpin that Funded Death Row Records

Pat Johnson, the former Compton PCP kingpin who financed the record label known for signing 2pac, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg, has been living a quiet life in the entrainment industry producing films according to Freeway Rick Ross in a recent DJ Vlad interview where they refrained from mentioning his name around the 7:20 mark.

Johnson was allegedly a silent partner in the business. Johnson, who grew up in the same neighborhood as Knight, ran one of the largest PCP rings in the nation in the late 1980s and laundered millions of dollars through commercial ventures in the Compton area before completing a nearly 30 year prison sentence.

Suge Knight has previously claimed that Johnson gave up to $500,000 to start Death Row while he was imprisoned.
